I believe you are asking if states should be forced to recognize a conceal carry permit from another. First off, I'm a big supporter of concealed carry. I think that it is stupid all states don't recognize other states' CHL. I don't think that the federal government has the legal authority (constitutionally) to regulate a state's particular gun laws. and I REALLY don't want the federal government regulating concealed handgun licenses. That leaves the door open for Liberals (cough Obama cough) to unilaterally taking away my rights. I believe that owning and carrying a gun are a right, but the it is the present situation is that you have to have a licence to carry. I'll pick my battles one at a time.

I talked to a friend who has a permit. He told me not all states will honor your permit, especially states to the east, but most states to the west will accept your permit. I would suggest that you check with the state law enforcement you plan on visiting.

West Virginia. For any other state you'll need another permit from that state.

This info should be in the handbook which you should have received when you got your CCW permit from W. Virginia.

It should be all of them, but you had better check it out. Have you seen the crime statistics rise since the law abiding citizens of Australia have turned in their guns? It seems like not all of the crooks turned their's in.
