Corn on the cob

2006-10-26 15:19:28 · answer #1 · answered by Just Ducky 5 · 1 0

No. I used to think so (ie. corn on the cob, eggs etc.). But now I'm an adult and realize that salt can do terrible things to your circulatory system (including the heart).

Today I enjoy all these things without added salt. I thought (at first) that it would be terrible. Now I don't miss it at all.

Mashed potatoes. Not much salt, just a pinch to a pot, but it's gotta have SOME so it makes the 'tato flavor pop for me.

My boyfriend and my father? EVERYTHING. Though my boyfriend is trying to cut back by using more pepper than salt now.

I don't add salt to anything anymore. I prefer the taste of food without it.

I use sea salt on my steamed veggies.

My husband always salts his watermelon - I can't imagine ruining a good watermelon that way - lol
