I once threw up after eating lasagna when I was a kid, and wouldn't eat it for the longest time after that because I had a similar fear. The truth of the matter is that I was probably ill at the time I ate the lasagna and that is why I threw up. You were probably ill as well and now you have made your mind associate that memory of eating the cake with being sick when it truth it wasn't the cake's fault at all.
It is mind over matter. I convinced myself that the lasagna was bad and that it would make me sick and it ended up doing just that. You have convinced yourself that you don't like cake because it made you throw up once. If I were you, I wouldn't let one bad experience ruin something for you. I've tried lasagna since, and I haven't had any problems. And you probably won't either, unless you just have an allergy you didn't mention.
Hope that helps you fix your hatred of cakes because cakes are pretty tasty. There are about a billion different cakes you can eat in this world - try another one and see how it goes.

The answer is in the converse.
Would you be weird if you ate something and threw up,
then ate it again?
you can decide that whatever was in you, or the cake,
that made you throw away the first time
is not in the NEW cake you want to eat,
and then conquer your NOT weird fear of eating cake.

You are not weird. Cake is WAY overrated. Although I hate Chips A'Hoy only because I threw them up when I was about 8. Hmmmm, maybe I am not the best person to ask!!

I'm actually kind of the same way, so that doesn't sound too weird to me lol. For example, if i get really embarrassed, or if i'm telling a funny story, my eyes will start to water and i'm always afraid people think i'm crying. I know how you feel lol :)

You arent weird but cake is damn good. Sometimes when we are terrified when we are younger it sticks in our mind. You are ust experiencing some kind of trauma because of your memory of you throwing up after you ate cake sometime in the past. It is reversible though. You just need to face your fears. I have a friend who is terrified of ballons. She gets so scared when she sees one or even hears a balloon being rubbed. She is this way because she swallowed a balloon when she was a kid. Its kinda funny sometimes we tease her but you can tell she is terrified so I dont think we will tease her anymore until she thinks she can deal with it.

I don't like alcohol 'cos I threw up after some. But I'll forget in a few days and drink again...
You'll like cake again if you go to Wetherspoons and buy the choclate cake there.

I used to love Snickers. One time I threw up after eating one (It turned out to be the beginning of a bout with the flu). To this day, I cannot bring myself to eat another one, even though it had nothing to do with me getting sick! LOL!
