by brother is getting married and he wants me to read the thing below because some of my aunts don't know english. I am just wondering what some of the words mean. I am really nervous and the wedding is next weekend. Do you know what that word means?

Ira de Corintios 13:4-8, 13

El amor es sufrido, es benigno;

el amor no tiene envidia, el amor no es jactancioso, no se envanece;

no hace nada indebido, nunca busca lo suyo, no se irrita, no guarda rencor;

"Jactancioso" means boasting or bragging
An d the other words, perhaps I can draw out of the New International Version of the Bible:

Love is patient, love is kind. it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love do not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love

It means to boast.

The verse mentioned from the Corinthians says (basically)
Love is patient and kind
Love does not insist on it's own way
Love does not rejoice in the wrong but rejoices in the right.
(actually these are words to a hymn I learned that is based on that verse--but that's basically what the verse is about.)
