1.How many years after the death of Muhammad do we find actual manuscripts of the Qur’an? Why is this a problem?

The Quran was spread by reciting the words as they were revealed to the Prophet (pbuh). As it was revealed people were around would write down what they heard on anything they could find, including animal hid and camel bones.

The Quran was first collected by the first successor Abu Bakr (632-634). This book was placed in the home of Muhammad’s 4th wife. Six copies of this original book by Uthman (644-656) were sent to the different Muslim territories so that all could have the same text. If you were to look at these text they are the same Quran as we have today and not one word has changed.

2. Why should we at least be able to find fragments of the Qu’ran from a much earlier date? Why is this a problem?

How much earlier do you need then to be more than 20 years after the death of the Prophet (pbuh).

Two copies of the text that were made by Uthman still exist one is in Russian the other is in Istanbul.

3. What is the Talmud and why is not considered to be “inspired” by Jews or Christians?

The Talmud (תלמוד) is a record of rabbinic discussions pertaining to Jewish law, ethics, customs and history. The Talmud has two components: the Mishnah, which is the first written compendium of Judaism's Oral Law; and the Gemara, a discussion of the Mishnah and related Tannaitic writings that often ventures onto other subjects and expounds broadly on the Tanakh. The terms Talmud and Gemara are often used interchangeably. The Gemara is the basis for all codes of rabbinic law and is much quoted in other rabbinic literature. The whole Talmud is traditionally also referred to as Shas (a Hebrew abbreviation of shishah sedarim, the "six orders" of the Mishnah).

4. What is the problem regarding the “Talmud” accounts in the Qur’an? Why does this invalidate the Qur’an?

Judaism as practiced by the majority of the Jews today is not the religion authorized by God in the Torah , but a newly formalized belief system based on man-made innovations and corruptions recorded in the "man-made" Talmud. Similar corruptions by man-made books and laws can be seen in Today's Christianity (e.g. Trinity)

Instead of invalidating the Quran it proves it to be true. The Quran was promised by God not to change. And it have not changed at all since the time of the Prophet (pbuh)

You asked this the other day.
1. 2 years
2. People wrote the revelations down while it was being revealed
each time; the fragments are now in Museums.
3. The Talmud is a written discussion by Jewish Believers,
It is a an argument between Jewish rabbis meant for Jews to agree on the Laws and how to follow them, we seek guidance in Revelation
4. The Talmud is not in the Quran, the Talmud is a discussion and argument by Jewish priests among each other, not prophets, but Jewish Rabbis, we accept revelation, but don't put religious discussion texts on the same level with God's revelations

I think Melani and Hijab they have written a good comments but I/ll add some clarification for your Q's.

The manuscripts were written by some of the prophet's PB UH followers whom they were few, not all of them had the whole Quran written, in his own manuscript, because Quran didn't come as a whole but depends on occasions and what they ask about religion, ...etc. So, when a phrase comes to the prophet he relay it to them and ask them to put in the specific part.
Most of the followers used to memories Quran and during the spread of Islam many of the followers has gone to other countries or died, So, the decision to write it down in one book and after that the remaining of those manuscript has been burned and only the full version has remained.
Concerning the Talmud I think my colleague has clarified it.

I can't answer about the Talmud, but here is what I know about the Qu'ran. At first Mohammed (pbuh) memorized and recited the revalations of the Qu'ran, his follwers did the same. Eventually a scribe began writing the versus down on anything handy. When the time came to complie the versus all written information was checked, re-checked and then checked again. After that all fragments of the Qu'ran were destroyed. This was to ensure that the Qu'ran remained true to what Mohammmed(pbuh) had recited. The copy that was kept is the one that all re-printed Qu'rans are based on and it has not changed in over 1400 years. I hope that helps with part of your question.

Islam is the only religion that still has the original text (in the old Arabic) that was revealed to Mohammad and then transmitted to his companions. Even God says in the Quran 15:9: “We have, without doubt, sent down the Message (Quran); and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)”. How has this been possible? First of all, the Quran was revealed to the prophet Mohammed over 23 years by arch angel Gabriel. It was memorized by the Prophet, dictated to scribes, and memorized by several memorizers. Every year, during the month of Ramadan, the entire Quran (whatever had been reveal by that time) was reviewed by the Prophet, and verified by the scribes and the memorizers. Additionally, every year new memorizers were added to the group who had memorized the entire Quran during the year. Once the Quran was complete, the practice of reading the entire Quran in the month of Ramadan continued. Also, the practice of memorizing the entire Quran also continued. After the death of the Prophet, the Quran was compiled into a single book by a committee of the original scribes and memorizers. From that copy other copies were made with the help of the original scribes and memorizers and distributed among world capitals of that time. A few copies have survived to this day. There is one in Turkey and one in Tashkent, to name a few. And by the way, the practice of reading the entire Quran in the month of Ramadan and also memorizing the entire Quran by memorizers still continues. Millions have memorized the entire Quran. Every year, during the month of Ramadan, during prayers all over the world, the Quran is recited in its entirety by memorizers and heard and read by millions. So, even if you burn every copy of the Quran in the world, we can recreate it very quickly. In essence, God has kept his word; he is protecting his Quran (Quran 15:9).

I hope that helps answer your question.

i don't know about talmud too...sorry.
but about actual manuscript of Quran malenie is absolutely right, this did happen....
initially Quran was recited by Muhammad(pbuh) n His companions(both men n women) n Quran pieces used to be written on,leather sheets, or rock slates...n later when whole Quran was compiled after rechecking several times, all old pieces were removed,so they should not crete any dispute in the long run...
hope this clears!

The Talmud is only an interpetation of the Tenach not scripture itself. The Tenach is the Christian's Old Testament.

There is no agreement between the Quran and the bible.

Check out the following

In 2 Timothy read the following and see if you see yourself there.

Chapter 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING YOU
