Not much. 1.3 megapixels (MP) is decent for a camera phone, but in a "real" camera, it's not much more than a toy. 2 MP will let you at least make half decent 4x6 prints, if you print the full image and do not crop your images.

One megapixel - one million pixels. Therefore:

1280x1024 = 1,310,720
A 1280x1024 image would be 1.3 megapixels

2048x1536 = 3,145,728
A 2048x1536 image would be (approximately) 3 megapixels.

In printing terms, for photo quality prints you should have at least 300 pixels per inch, so, in theory,

- a 1.3 megapixel image would make a 3x4 print (approximately)
- a 3 megapixel image would make a 5x7 print (approximately)

Note that megapixels aren't the sole determinant of photo quality.

I assume you mean a digital camera.Yes .7 megapixels. But, if you want clear 8x10 prints,
get something more in the 4 to 8 megapixel range.

it has a .7 difference.. a 2.0 meg is better than a 1.3.. but you still wont be able to print anything higher than a 4x6 print.... if you want to go higher you need atleast a 4 meg...

If you're thinking of getting a camera phone...then get the one with 2.0 megapixels.
But it will never be as good as a digital camera's quality.
