Can't find a link on the web for macrame directions on this or how to create a net around it using fishing knots.

Can you tie a square knot?? Left over right/right over left?? You can make a net just using square knots and the same space between.

To keep everything even you may want to get a huge box and cut it open. Sketch out a grid, lay your jute on the cardboard and use pins to keep all even. Then unpin a section, tie the knot at the line intersection, repin and move on.

Far easier would be to suspend all your jute together and work it that way. Either tie it all together in one big knot.....it would be big! or attach it to several rings and suspend the rings together with the jute hanging down. Then tie knots at one level, then the next level down separate the lines and tie to their other neighbor, third level tie the original two. You are making a mesh.

Sounds like a form of macrame. People did this sort of yarn and string craft stuff all the time back in the 70's. If you search for it online, you'll probably find some info on it.
