Cain was the first child of Adam and Eve recorded in Scripture (Genesis 4:1). His brothers, Abel (Genesis 4:2) and Seth (Genesis 4:25), were part of the first generation of children ever born on this Earth.

Even though only these three males are mentioned by name, Adam and Eve had other children. In Genesis 5:4 a statement sums up the life of Adam and Eve—‘And the days of Adam after he had fathered Seth were eight hundred years. And he fathered sons and daughters.’ This does not say when they were born. Many could have been born in the 130 years (Genesis 5:3) before Seth was born.

During their lives, Adam and Eve had a number of male and female children. The Jewish historian Josephus wrote that, ‘The number of Adam’s children, as says the old tradition, was thirty-three sons and twenty-three daughters.’11

The Bible does not tell us how many children were born to Adam and Eve. However, considering their long life spans (Adam lived for 930 years—Genesis 5:5), it would seem reasonable to suggest there were many! Remember, they were commanded to ‘Be fruitful, and multiply’ (Genesis 1:28).

If we now work totally from Scripture, without any personal prejudices or other extra-Biblical ideas, then back at the beginning, when there was only the first generation, brothers would have had to have married sisters or there would be no more generations!

We are not told when Cain married or any of the details of other marriages and children, but we can say for certain that some brothers had to marry their sisters at the beginning of human history.

Well, some people take the Bible literally and other pick and choose what they want to believe. Of course the Bible just doesn't work that way. It is either the infallible word of God or it isn't. If it isn't how can you pick and choose which parts God wants us to believe and which parts to discard. If an omniscient God exist wouldn't he have the capability to create such a book.

For the people who take the whole Bible as the literal word of God believe that he married his sister . Before people go ooooh! Both creation and evolution theories count on incest for it to work.

you probably didn't get many answers because this question has been asked numerous times. Mostly from people who do not truly want an answer. They think they found a question to "trip up" the Christians. When a Christian gives an answer it is ridiculed. Many of us have answered this question many times.

I don't quite understand your question. I believe that the Bible, Creation, and Jesus' life is all literal. God's Word cannot be wrong, for that would mean that God made a mistake, and that just isn't possible.

I believe Cain got his wife from his parents. There was no other way for the earth to populate back then other than marrying into their own immediate family. There were no physical defects on the children back then like there is today.

We don't. We believe that there are times, like in the parables, that Jesus was speaking metaphorically. For example, He said He was the Vine and we are the branches. He is not a literal grapevine - it was a picture of a truth He was explaining. However, there are parts of the Bible that are literal. You need to read, meditate, ask God, study and pray when you read the Bible. If you are really interested, find a church that has good solid basic Bible principles and sit in on their Bible studies.

As for Cain - I don't know. God did not address that. There are many who make assumptions, but evidently it was not necessary for God to have that portion of history recorded. So, I'll just wait until I see Him to ask.

The Bible says the Sons of God took the daughters of Adam and Eve as wifes. It is possible there were daughters of God.

The Bible also says that there were Giants living IN the Earth.

It is also possible there was some inbreeding. That is talked or hinted about throughout the bible.

If we subscribe to the "evolutionary" there of "random" science do you honestly think it's possible that "magically" mutliple humaniods were born at once and in the same area.

How does "evolution" come about. The Speaking Gene. The Gene that gives us voice and words. What, thousands, millions started getting born with this at once?

What does Cro Magnon or Australapithicus know or care about "inbreeding"

If think if a male and female with the gene were born from the same parents they wouldn't "mate" of some reason in the wild with no "God" or "relgion" or "moral" code?

A man sees a girl in 2 million BC, what does he do. Check her drivers license to see if she's his sister?

Maybe Daughters were born first to Adam and Eve and they got taken as wives at a young age and had babies with the "Sons of God" and then came Cain and Able.
