Simple... not everyone knows this, but your reasoning skills do NOT develop until you are in your late 20's. Yes it is the last part of the brain to develop, so teenagers think nothign will hurt them or affecct them. They live in the here and now and not think about the future consequences.

That is a very good question, now remember that story about Adam and Eve, remember that all they had to do was follow that simple rule do not eat from the tree of good and evil and yet they did. The truth is Adam and Eve did not get cast out of paradise they ran out because we as humanity can not handle life without misery( look at our history if you do not believe me) and misery is caused in some part by not following simple rules, like do not have multiple sex partners...

Easy- it's the whole "it won't happen to me" phenomenon. People who typically have unprotected sex do not believe it will "happen" to them- either STD's or abortion. Others trust that their partners are STD-free because they know them, trust them, or know everyone they've been with. That, unfortunately, does not prevent pregnancy. It's not about ignorance. It's about self-awareness.

thats like asking why doesnt spilled milk stop earthquakes?
sometimes girls get pregnant and have abortions.
the occasional STD.... thats what doctors are for.

because people dont care. they just have sex and think it won't happen to me. but the peoplethat think that way usually get it.
