Try stevia.

Splenda is made with an altered form of chlorine molecule, a "Frankenfood" of questionable merit. Honey spikes your blood sugar just like table sugar, but it does contain vitamin A. Chicory root syrup is sweet, and has an even cleaner taste than table sugar. Stevia drops don't have the bitter aftertaste of a lot of the Stevia powders, and 3 drops are all it takes to sweeten a cup of cocoa made with unsweetened powder. It does not spike your blood sugar. Check into a health food store, there are syrups made from rice, all kinds of things, and read labels, it is amazing!

Unfortunately, all the artificial sweeteners can provoke allergic reactions because they're slightly toxic. For instance, Splenda gives me awful headaches, while a friend of mine gets sick if she has anything with Nutrasweet in it.

Stevia's not a bad choice, it's natural and you don't need much. Honestly though, the very best substitute is to just get used to eating less sweet foods. You won't miss it after a while.

HONEY!!

Honey is significantly sweeter than table sugar and has attractive chemical properties for baking. Honey has a distinctive flavor which leads some people to prefer it over sugar and other sweeteners.

Honey and I have heard from the county bee keeper that if you eat local honey you won't have as many problems with your allergies.

I would say that Spenda is the best for you but if you use a large amount at one time it may not taste as good.

Honey! It's natural, unless you don't like products from animals.
