Well, art broadens people perspectives, it make for great debates, It's calming most the time, It forces the artist to use there imagination, to be creative and most of all it creates a safe social gathering place for kids that might not have this opportunity at home.

I had art as a class my freshman year couldn't draw a stick figured I walked out creating life-like face portraits. Art is a learnable discipline that improves hand-eye coordination and also for me anyways brings a peace of mind.

It stimulates left brain function and development. It works your creative side, and is actually a good stress reliever. And most importantly, it's fun! Painting, drawing, coloring, pottery or whatever it may be, it's all good.
