Of course they are. Not due to elections but due to the time of year. If you notice the trend is that gas prices creep up just before every major holiday. It isn't a political ploy, just business. People travel more during the holidays, whether it is Thanksgiving or July 4th... watch your calenders and you will see the trend. Anytime there is going to be a lot of travel the prices go up just a tad...

Although I think its silly to suggest that the Republicans are directly influencing oil prices, you have to ask yourself, "If I were an oil executive, which party would I want in power?"
So, I don't think the Republicans have to even pick up the phone to ask for that.
Oil Co.s will prob wait until close to Thanksgiving to creep em back up.

OBVIOUSLY!!! They only went down because elections coming up and dump republicans want to win the elections. Once they win, UP goes the prices again!!!

Yes.. it has started where I live . Since yesterday .. it has gone up 10. a gallon overnight. When the elections are over, it will quickly go up to $2.50 to 2.95 a gallon. Good Luck ! :)

of course they are...exxons 10 billion and chevron's 5 billion 3rd quarter profits where a little low for them so they told the republicans screw waiting for the elections...they are going to start raising prices now...look for them to start going up this week

i hope not ,they haven't gotten down to less than 2 bucks a gallon here yet,im still waiting to get it for 2 bucks,maybe it will stay down a while longer,we can always hope.
