If you live in the UK.Try Battersea Dogs & cats home, On there web site they have pictures of dog that need a home the web address is.

But you will have to visit one of there homes before you can take home a dog. They have 3 dogs homes to visit in the UK. Have a look at there web site and see for yourself. Give a dog that needs re-homing a chance.

I've just had a look around the site. It's easy to find your way around and cleverly marketed, but I wouldn't recommend it personally.
For all its claims that it tries to stamp out puppy farming, it doesn't look too difficult for a dodgy breeder to advertise on there.
I didn't see any requirement for the dogs to be screened for any hereditary problems, or any requirements whatsoever to advertise.
Breeding practices are very difficult to police over the internet and whilst they might do their best to reduce it, there's little they can actually do.
If you want a dog, it's a far better idea to speak to one of the breed clubs recommended by the kennel club, or by going to an animal sanctuary.

Just looked at the "puppyfind" site MB recommends below. Bloody frightening. They are proud of the fact that the puppy can be shipped to you at your convenience. So a buyer doesn't need to travel and see the conditions that the puppy has been bred in!
There's plenty of responsible breeders about and rescue dogs needing homes without buying over the internet.

if you are in the UK the www.dogpages.org.uk is excellent, click through to the forums sections and you can find details of dogs needing homes in all areas of the country.
Rescue dogs are incredibly rewarding and the dogs on dogpages are all through reputable rescue societys so you get full back up and history.

There are lots. If you are looking for a pedigree pup go through the Kennel Club Website. I would always advocate going to a rescue centre and rehoming a dog who needs a forever home. Dogs Trust are brilliant, and there are lots of other charities with their own websites, so you can find them local to you.
Can I also just remind you that a dog is for life, not just for Christmas and wish you lots of luck with your search.

There are some reputalbe breeders on there but there are some dodgy breeders you should stay well away from.
If its a certain breed your looking for get in touch with the breeds area reps (breed council) or get in touch with a few people who show the breed they can normally point you in the right direction for a healthy pup.

Try www.dogsey.com its a community site for dog owners and breeders . you will find amazing amounts of information on most breeds from the people who know best, dog owners.
There is everything from basic training to gallery pages of owners pets.

yes i no, i agree. but still if you do chose a dog from it make sure you have a good look around you when you go to get it and make sure its not a puppy farm also make sure you see both parents. i sold my pups on epupz, check my babies out , click on the photos and you can see them all http://mcdowell2.gotpetsonline.com/ let me no what you think!! xx

They will have a list of breeders who are KC registered and from there you will be able to look for a breed you are interested in
