the legal answer to this question is as follows.
You should return the computer to the place of purchase and ask for a full refund of the purchase price. if the purvayor refuses, go to your local police station and report the shop for software piracy.
You also have another option open to you. go to Microsoft and send them the disk along with a letter detailing when and ware you purchased the computer. they will then send you out a legal copy of home edition and tale legal action against the company concerned.

Thats unacceptable. Eventually microsoft will check yur Windows Operating system thru their automatic updates and you will get a counterfeit message and some stuff on XP will be disabled eg the updates. Demand your origianl XP Cd or take back yur computer or sue him. Go here for more info:

Whats the problem? Just don't download the Microsoft WGA trojan. That piece of garbage flags one out of every seven legit systems so it will probably get yours UNLESS he/she put on a corporate copy then NO PROBLEM AT ALL!
