absolutly, the man is just as respnsible,
which brings up the is pro choice about womans rights srgumenr, it seems pro choice serves as more of an "ease of controling woman" mechanism. "abort the baby or we are through"

i really wish every1 could agree that it is murder, no matter the circumstance but i came to the conclusion that those who do agree that abortion is ok, are the ones who really don't know the facts about abortion, then i have heard of some of the pro choice that don't agree with late term abortions but who exactly do they think made those legal? u can't be for one and not all. its a very sick world we live in that its ok to kill a baby a couple of weeks or sometimes even days before its born but once its born its murder

Pro Choice does not equal willingness to kill children. Maybe if you'd use a dictionary once in awhile and get over your misogyny then maybe you can think straight.
A woman has the right to choose IF she wants to continue on with a pregnancy due to the fact that it is in HER body with which the fetus resides.
You also seem to trivialize many of the reasons as to why a woman would get an abortion. Many women that are raped or are victims of incest choose to abort due to the fact that they often do not want their ordeal to be known to the whole world- the right to privacy is important. As is the life of a woman. The whole idea of putting the life of an unborn child ahead of the mother is kind of ridiculous.
Putting the blame on women ie "opening their legs," "your own fault," and so on is such a misogynistic attitude that it's not even funny. These days a woman can sleep with whom she wants when she wants to. If men can do it, so can women.

my view on abortion is this: if the mothers life is in danger and the child stands no chance of surviving birth, abort the child; if the mothers life is in danger and the child might live life for a yr at best, abort. but if a mother wants an abortion simply because she has too many kids already, then there are no moral grounds for an abortion. in any case, there are no logical reasons to propose legislation that would ban ALL abortions outright. it wouldnt save lives and it wouldnt decrease abortions. they would just move to back allies.
what we need to do is to do all we can to first decrease the number of abortions (excluding the ones that save the mothers life), REFORM adoption, and educate the public with FACTS. thats where we should be focusing on right now. saving life is very important, i agree, but name calling (pro-baby killers) is not productive or helpful.
rather than posting things like this is unwise if your serious about the issue at hand. if you really want to do something, come up with ideas on how to decrease abortions, how to educate people, and stop hating.
not only is abortion a complex and perplexing issue, but so is life. the very thing you want to save. cant clog a leak without first building something to hold the water.

First if you are a man, you have no right to an opinion on this. It is a woman's issue. When you can be forced by society to bear a child against your will, then you can talk.
Pro-choice is about compassion on the woman. I am not saying that every abortion is right. It is a sad thing that so many are not necessary. Maybe if men were better able to control themselves there would be no need for this discussion!
====================
PS. I am responding here to the question that you asked me off list. Here is my answer:
You say that "all pro-choice is about is controling women." That is true.. and many men (not all) and right wing segments of society want to control women just like in an Arab country.
And if you had sex with a woman and you are not married to her, her body is hers and what happens to the child that is in her body is her decission not yours! Even it you are married to her, you do not own her. Go to Iraq if that is the type of society that you want.

Firstly, are those percentages real? or made up?
but let's say they're real.
1% of the current U.S. population is over 3 freaking MILLION!!!!!
21% is 63 million.
Shouldn't have opened their legs eh? But they did. And that was a mistake. The woman still has a life. She has friends, a job, maybe even school. She has responsibilities. Must she give all that up just for one night when her raging hormones took control over her body? no...

It dose nothing to my stance.
Who are any or you pro-life people to tell another person what to do.
If taxes went up tomorrow to help cover all the welfare babies you'd cry about that too.
Offer nothing but criticism to the problem and tell me it is immoral, I think you are part of the problem not the answer.
offer intelligent input or keep your mouth closed.
I am Pro-Choice and I chose to live my life the way I want.
I have 3 children and never once thought abortion. that dose not say I have any right to tell someone how to live or die.
Many Pro-Life people will still let a homeless person die in the street, looking down at them and saying "Get a job yeah piece of crap!"
Do you think you will not go to hell for murder? By law you still aided in the untimely death of a human-being
But you will tell someone that is pregnant that they can not abort.
Many of you are just as Pro-Choice as we are.
I care deeply for disadvantaged people and do all I can for them all the time. I am an advocate for many people.
What do you do for your fellow human-beings other then press your ideals and points of view on them?

I am not pro abortion. But I do believe that a woman, her partner, and her doctor are much better qualified to decide whether a woman should have an abortion, than a bunch of legislators whose wives and daughters will always have access to medical abortions, legal or not, just as they did before Roe v. Wade.
So no, your statistics don't change my mind; rather they make me more convinced that we must teach birth control and make sure youngsters in junior high and high school receive realistic sex education.

I am more compelled by the answers on this question, than the question itself.
Suffice it to say that you have not changed my mind and name calling will do little to affect your cause. Undoubtedly you or someone you love has never been faced with the unthinkable decision of whether or not to abort. It is not an easy decision, no matter how you spin the stats...where did you get them anyway?
Pro-Choice is not Pro-Abortion as many Pro-Lifers would like everyone to believe. Pro-Choice is just that, proponents for a woman's right under all circumstances to determine for herself what is appropriate for her and her body. And like it or not a fetus is not a child, and this argument has never been adequately decided, and probably never will.
Lastly, why is it that the Christian right thinks they have a monopoly on morality? Isn't what I do between God and me? Doesn't the bible say, judge not lest ye be judged? Have you been taught the divine principle of grace? Isn't your judgment of others just as sinful in God's eyes?

Does it change my opinion? No - I value the physical and emotional well being of a living, breathing adult more than I do a fetus. Should a woman become the slave of the embryo in her womb, with no options to be in control of her own life?
Your hateful rhetoric does nothing to help a complex and difficult issue. You're a disservice to your cause.
And as far as killing children, why don't we as a society work to preserve the lives of children who are already born? All around the world, so many live and die in despair, never a chance to truly live life. Adoption, though ideal, is a process that fails thousands of children on a daily basis. It's not a unilateral answer for potentially aborted babies.
Oh, and tube removal or tying is NOT a procedure to be nonchalant about - it requires anesthesia and that's always dangerous. Also, there can be serious medical side effects. Please don't insult women by carelessly citing it as an easy form of birth control.
