I keep hoping to find interesting questions and informative answers, but more often than not, I find people just wanting to put other people down. It's very sad to me. Yet, I keep coming back. Why do you?

I come back occasionally because for a time I tried to help others understand about what I believe and why I believe, but like you, the putting people down and belittling the beliefs of others gets to me and I get fed up with it. I still check in occasionally, and if I happen to see a good question, I stick around awhile.

To help others because I a get a great joy in doing so. I see many real people here with real problems.
Of course I also see the jokesters or people who think everything is funny to them, the rude, the arrogant, just down right cold-hearted.
These are people who have been scarred or bitter in some way and don't want to forgive those who hurt them or talk about it in a mature way, but feel good about themselves when they put others down; opinions, attitudes, beliefs, etc.

I'm just amazed at the amount of mis-information people have about other religions and cultures.
That, and to laugh at some of the idiotic questions and answers.

it's fun to see some really funny remarks. but that's not why this forum keeps me coming back. it feels good to know you are not alone in the universe having these thoughts all by yourself. these have been articulated by others here. it's the sharing of experiences and finding that we all have things in common that makes it quite liberating sometimes even in anonimity..

For the very same reason. I have to wade through a lot of garbage, but once in awhile, I find a true gem. You know if we are going to work around hogs, we are going to get muddy. God bless.
