I want to get a tattoo. I am a mother of 3 "Polkatots" and would like to get a Polkadot tattoo using 3 circles, not so big, somehow. So, I was thinking about incorporating it with a heart. I like bold colors, sapphire blue, emerald green and ruby red for the "polkadots". Ugh. I dont know a creative mind to put it all together before I go to the tattoo parlor. I need to have an idea before the try and sway me to get something not cool.

Where would I put such a tribute to my kids on my 30+ body...the nape of my neck (people can see it when my hair is up), my arm ( no), near my heart (no one can see it).

Just give me some great ideas!!! Thanks!!!!!

Use color of their birthstones.
diamond shape, ruby shape heart, saphire shape square.

3 rings of thier birthstone colors, like the Olympic rings?

First initial of each name? People would have to ask.

You no what you want, and if the tattooist is a professional why worry about them talking you into something else?

Myself and the tattooist made up mine. I have my three boys names rapped around there color of roses. The oldest having the biggest rose on down to the little guy with his rose.

This is a foot by six inches or so on my chest. If you are getting this for you, and have to be concerned about peeps seeing it while in the business world might be best to put it on the body somewhere where you can show it (somewhat) only if you want to.
If you do not or never will be in the business world then do not worry about peeps seeing it at all times.....

Good luck and remember to find a tattooist who is willing to work with you, or turn around and walk out. Many tattooists around these days.....

I have this design in mind when you described what you like. Have the heart slightly from the side and have the polkadots, different sizes and colors according to the ages of your kids and have them rotate creatively around the heart. It could be a really cute piece if you figure it out!

i dk about the design but put it on your stomach near the belly button. my mom did that. but hers is a cross with a red rose wrapped around it. i think saphire blue is purfect for the color because i love it so much. the dots should just be three little ones in a circle. ane s.blue the other ruby red, and the third em.Green. put the heart in the middle with the top round parts in two of the circles and the bottom point in the third circle.

I agree with LaLa, have it on the nape. The nape is one of those parts of the body that does not wrinkle too much as you age.Same reason as to placing it on the upper back. Please don't have on your arm(reminds me of that episode of the simpsons where abe simpson< the grandpa> is telling Bart the story about his days as a pilot). It really doesn't matter if it can be seen by other people or not. What's important is it's symbolism and that you have one.

maybe a heart made up of the three polkadots? 3 dots inside a heart? the nape of your neck would be the nicest place to put it.

when you say "sapphire blue, emerald green, and ruby red" it makes me wonder why ppl get tattoos b/c after the tattoo has had time to heal, the colors are SO DULL and looks ugly! black always looks good. BUT, if it's color, get it by your heart! :)

My suggestion is to get with a few good tattooists they usually will make a flash (the pattern) for free, and choose from them. All of mine and my better half were drawn from hand not "stock" from a flash magazine or picture. Also, be very careful and choose a pro
