i have a -small- Govt project. my partner and i have to videotape a short commercial (no longer than 1 minute). it has to be creative and target an audience (young people 18-24). and it has to be to get people to vote (because we all know that's a huuuuuge problem). most of our ideas have been really silly and stupid. i don't care if it's amusing or hilarious or completely not funny, just need it to work.

Personally I think you should show what appears to be the worlds coolest party going. imagine huge speaker stacks and a variety of real looking people "so not loads of just young hot girls, make sure funky grandpa is in the picture too" Make it look like everyone is totally "going off" to the most driving beats available to the campaign.
Then have a scene where the power gets pulled and all the dancing stops. People are going "awwwww" and "what the...."
the next picture will be jhonny howard behind the decks then a quick voice over!!!!!
"Bought to you by the Australian government Canberra"
Also be sure to make sure the party scene is set outside while the sun is rising ok.

You could show scenes of war, famine, a nuclear bomb going off, and other terrible things. Then you could say something like, "Brought to you by the candidate you could have voted against."
