As a a/c and heat man for years, my hands were always taking a beating. Found a recipe that just called for regular hand lotion blended with Vitamin E and Vasilene, I used a 16 oz bottle of lotion, about 1/4 of a thingy of Vasilene and 3 or 4 of those Vitamin E capsules. I used a whisk to mix it all up good. Worked for me.

My whole family and friends use Aquaphor. I go skiing a LOT and my hands get super chapped - cuz i live in cold at a high altitude. This stuff is THE BEST. No matter how chapped your hands are, it makes them soft...and KEEPS THEM SOFT. Put on a liberal layer on your hands before u go to bed and wear white gloves over them to keep it from rubbing off and getting on the sheets. it's not just 4 ur hands...feet, anywhere. and it helps heal cracks in ur skin from the cold.

OK this is going to sound really weird but I have always used Utter Butter. It comes in a green tin can and it came about a long time ago to alleviate dry hands in Milkmaids. It feels a lot like Vaseline, but you put it thick and let it soak in for one hour and when you wash your hands, they are really smooth. My mother got me hooked on it and it works every time.

I could never find a hand lotion that worked well for me until Aveeno Intense Relief hand cream (they have a lot of formulas, it has to be that one specifically).
It works really well, absorbs quickly for me, and best of all doesn't all wash off/get slimy as soon as I get my hands wet--which is usually about ten seconds after I put on hand cream. It gets slick again briefly if you get wet, but then immediately reabsorbs and keeps working.

I've tried the Mary Kay's satin hands thing and it is good because it exfoliates your hands and has this emolient thing plus a hand cream. Ask someone who sells it for a sample or they probably have a web site for it.

I use Eucerin but lubriderm is really good too. Vaseline is also great for very dry skin.

before you go to bed, pour a handful of sugar and 2 or 3 tablespoons of olive oil and rub. Your hands will feel so soft.
