My range is from D one and a half octave away from middle C and my highest is the E above middle C. Ive been often told i was a tenor but i couldnt reach to half the notes a tenor could reach. I have a very bright timbre but i have a low range. Please somebody give me some advices.

Your current range definitely rules out any characterization as a tenor. Please note, however, that as voices mature, and as y ou train, the range and the quality of one's voice can change and expand markedly.

One's voice isn't necessarily called a range. The operatic term is "Fach," which takes account both of the timbre of the voice and the range. If your voice has a lighter character, that would tend to put you in the "Spielbass" or Lyric bass category.

If you use strictly "range" terms, you're a bass-baritone. I'm got about the same range, maybe a little lower.

BTW, there are letter conventions you can use. I think the range you mean is " DDD" to "E."

You're either a bass or a baritone (halfway between bass and tenor). If you can't reach those high notes easily with falsetto, I'm guessing you're a baritone (bass singers find it easier to sing falsetto, because the breaking point of the voice is lower, so it's more easily controlled).

Umm, a baritone...

A mezzo can sing much higher than an E above middle C.

even if you could hit the notes, that doesn't mean it is included in your range. try to look for the brilliance in your voice, if you find it, i think it is safe to say that could be your range.
