Try eharmony, but please be very careful with any dating service; also, don't get in a big hurry. Just take things one day at a time.
I wish you the greatest success and much happiness.

There are so called adult dating sites which are nothing but kinky sex offerings. Other sites have nothing but losers. If you really want to find someone, have you ever considered volunteer work, like for the disabled? You'd be amazed how many retired guys around your age work as volunteers because they don't want to jeopardize their retirement check, but also cannot sit at home doing nothing. Call your local United Way and find out about all the places that need volunteers and check them out before you decide on that.
You can of course, also try the internet, but 99% of the guys are losers, big time losers. I personally would not date via the internet.(I am 54 and a widow since 13 years). The only website considered legitimate is:
www.harmony.com
Be careful if you decide to try the online dating and don't give personal info out too fast. Get you a bogus e-mail adress so that you can pass that on to interested guys and then wait and see what's happening. Good luck

Internet dating is great, but one must be very careful. If you are meeting someone for the first time take a friend with you just in case you are meeting a freak of somekind. Also if someone is being honest with you it is easy to screen out the junk from the good ones. Try some of the more reputable sites( Eharmony, Yahoo personals, match .com) Best of Luck and have fun!!!!!

I think the local senior center would be safer- there are so many liars and storytellers out there- just waiting to take advantage of you- if you do internet date- meet in a public place and don't give your addres and home ph.- have a cell ph- or a pay as you go ph- and don't get alone w a stranger- even consider a double date w a couple you know- D

Hey at 61! you go for it. Be careful on the Internet though. These guys will tell you to many lies. One more thing, if your late husband left you well provided for, please don't share that information with anyone you might meet. Some guys are out there to take advantage of lonely women.
Good luck and happy hunting.

its a big world out there and anyone but anyone can get on line. Beware, use common sense and don't believe all that you read or see on line. There are lot of weird and sick people out there! Better meeting somone the old fashioned way, bars, through friends, colleagues etc.

If you wish to date, that's great. Please don't do so on the internet unless you go with a reputable site which you ok through family and/or friends. Get out to church or some social group to meet others. Be careful and have fun! :) PS/ Try EHarmony.com - that's a good one.

It can't hurt to be out there, but is not a perfect science. Many people get so wrapped up in their prerequisite dating conditions, that they will probably never find anyone, and remain alone because of it.

BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT IT! I am only 17 but I do know that on the internet, people are commonly not what they seem! You need to be extremely careful about who you talk to, if/where you want to meet them, if they are telling you the truth regarding who they say they are. Its going to be really hard for you to be able to find someone true on the internet. Its possible, just hard.
