How much can we know about existence as a whole without being able to view it from and outside perspective? i.e. Imagine that the universe is a bubble, and you are on the outside looking in; how would you describe it?

Since we can't view existence from "outside the box" (an annoying catch phrase that means nothing, and used by people who can't think) we have learned to effectively investigate it from the perspective we have. We can accurately explain (although our understanding and knowledge are not complete) ancient civilizations, prehistoric creatures that have been gone for millions of years. We have looked into space and gotten a good idea of the moments just after the creation of the universe, how stars are born and how they die. We can learn so much by using good scientific methods, ingenuity, common-sense, and some hard work. We've learned alot about existence - while we experience it.

Pretty much how I view my life in general.
Always on the "outside" looking in.
Longing to go beyond the ordinary, and get past the normal things and onto the unique and extraordinary things there are to experience.
Bubbles represent life as a fragile, yet beautiful and colorful delicate entity.
I sometimes wish a big old bubble could just carry me up and away from my troubles.
Very interesting and thought provoking question you have here.

Imagination is a wonderful gift, because it gives us all sorts of perspectives. Why should we question existence how would it help us escape the planet, my perspective of existence on planet earth is nothing more than a prison created by aliens.
