What if, when later she/he was asked about it, said that she/he would never do such a thing? What then? For example: I take the Lord as my savior and a week later I say, "F*ck that! I don't believe in God! I would have never done such a thing."

That happens alot. It is not their fault. Most of sin lies in the will. If their will is damaged as in Alzheimers all we are seeing is the sin part of the person and not the saved part. The part that does such things is the part that dies on the cross with Jesus. The rest of them goes to Heaven as a new creation. I have known of very Holy people who have a stroke and out of the blue just start cursing like anything. They can't help it. These are part of the reason Jesus yelled in a loud voice "Father forgive them they know not what they do"

I would hope that any compassionate god would understand.
I don't believe in the Christian god, but the gods I do worship would never punish people for their actions while under the influence of such a terrible disease.
Why would ANYONE believe in a god who would send a person who is mentally ill (and people with AD are, for all intents and purposes, mentally ill) to everlasting torment?

God knows what was in the heart of the person when he or she accepted the Lord as Savior. He also knows why a person with Alzheimer's (or any other illness that steals their ability to think clearly) says what they do.

God knows the sincerity of one's heart. i don't believe any alzheimers patient - who's generally older - would even consider using the f word if they were in their right mind. the same goes for dementia and senility.

a person's thoughts from the brain have very little to do with spirituality. if she accepted the lord with her soul, her soul hasn't forgotten - it can't.
