Absolutely not!! For optimal health, a well-balanced diet is required, and that includes protein along with carbs, and many needed vitamins and minerals which can only be obtained by eating a variety of foods from each food group. I can't even begin to imagine why anyone educated would make such a ridiculous statement. Are you sure your teacher wasn't joking around or being sarcastic?

That is false. Your body needs protein to build muscle. Eating a lot of protein helped me lose 25 pounds.

There's virtually no chance of you never consuming protein again. You could have a totally vegan diet and still consume a good amount of protein. Lots of natural foods have protein in them.
Maybe your teacher meant for you to not eat animals??? You might want to get some clarification.

Either you have misunderstood your teacher, or your teacher needs to find a new line of work. We all need protein of some kind in order to live healthy lives. Children especially need protein to properly grow & develop healthy bodies, & any teacher who would give a young student such dangerous advice needs to be removed from his/her job.
I recommend you go & ask your teacher if you understood what he/she said, & to help you understand what was meant.

this is a LIE for the most part... when my sisters were newborns they had a protein deficiency and could not ingest anything with more than just a tiny bit of protein. this is usually just with newborns, and I highly doubt you have this, so your teacher is probably either not very smart, or a liar, or just teasing you because you don't know something the teacher does.

Only if you want to have as empty a head as your teacher. Our DNA & energy processes at the deepest levels of our cells require protein to stay alive & undamaged. Ever hear of malnutrition or starvation?
