No, you don't put anything in them. Just drop them into the aluminum tray into the holes and then pour your batter in them about 3/4 of the way full. If you over fill them you will have a mess. They are just made to not stick, it is what they are made of... good Luck

Here is one method: put the muffin cups in each section in the muffin pan. Then put the paper cups in, and fill them with the batter, about 2/3 full. There is no need to grease the paper cups. When the muffins are done, the paper will peel off easily. Of course they will stick a little bit, but they peel off with no problem. I have never heard of anybody greasing the paper cups before adding the batter, but perhaps some people do it that way.
Personally, my favourite method is to not use the paper cups. I usually just use Pam to spray the muffin pan sections, and then add the batter directly, without using a paper cup.

No need to do anything except put one liner into each cup of the pan. You could use two spoons to drop the batter in if it would make it easier, because it's the dribbles on the sides that make them stick in the pan. But not horribly stuck, you just have to nudge them out.
Timing is the key to cupcakes. Nothing worse than a burnt cake. Your best guide is your smell, when they are done, they smell yummy. And don't put the frosting on until they're cold, or it will melt.

You are kidding right? How do you know about dry sticking?
OK. I can hear the distress in your voice, double the paper cups in the cupcake tray, thta's one inside the other, making 2, the one you pour or scoop your batter into will be in a world of it's own when it's done cooking. You'll hear it sigh "I'm free, I'm free" as you pull it from it's cooking companion the "other" paper cup.
Really listen but not to close, the next scream you'll hear is your own when you burn your ear on the hot cupcake.
