Galliano is an Italian liqueur that tastes of anise and many other herbs, flowers, and spices. The flavor is spicy and heady. While there are mixed drinks that use it, the general rule of thumb with digestivi like this is that they are meant to be sipped, in small glasses, neat, usually after a meal. If you like it, drink it straight. If you don't like it, give it to someone else.
Other drinks in the same category that taste similar to Galliano are Liquore Strega and Chartreuse. Strega is probably the most approachable. Chartreuse is the least sweet.

Calliano is yellow Italian Vanilla liqueur, traditionally used in Harvey Wallbanger as described earlier. Smoothens nicely sharpness in vodka/orange, best with a small quantity or a "dash" .
Very popular drink here in Scandinavia is Hot Shot:
Calliano, hot strong coffee, semi whipped cream 1/1/1 in that order in a shot class (40 ml). Beautiful three store drink tastes nice too.
After these the bottle maybe not gathering dust on the shelves...
