Weight has nothing to do with height. Your height is predetermined by genetics, meaning a diet to lose weight will not effect your height. You will not get shorter if you lose weight, just as you will not get taller if you gain weight.

lol, that's a funny question, but not as long as you're getting all the nutrients. in fact, the person might grow a little because the gravity won't have as much weight to pull down:)
