Hi I am 15 years old and have decided that I want a change of hair colour. My current hair colur is dirty blonde buy I want to dye it to a brighter blonde - if you have ever watched 8 simple rules on abc1 I like the colour of bridgets hair or the colour of sam mitchells hair off of eastenders. Anyway because its the first time I have changed my hair colour I want to test it to see if the colour suits me. So I was wondering whether there was any non permanent colours on the market which would help me achieve that colour so I can decide whether to do itor not. Thankyou for any ideas.

huni im 20 years old and been dying my hair since i was 12 and it was the biggest mistake of my life as i could not get the bleach blonde i wanted out of a bottle at home (im not saying others cant)
the worst colour ive been is jet black and then wanted to go back to blonde it took 3 months of weekly bleaching and now my hair is in such bad condition it has to be cut off to nearly a grade 8 all over, which is short, but im trying to prolong it.lol
i think what you need to do is not do this at home but to have a chat with your mum and go and find a good hairdressers as they are more likely to get the right colour right the 1st time
good luck

Because you're quite young and new to the idea - why don't you have a chat with you mum and both of you go to a hair salon for advice - I wouldn't try buying hair dyes yet until you know what you're doing .......
Alternatively you could try combing natural lemon juice through sections of your hair - lemon juice is supposed to brighten and lighten all blonde shades of hair ..... that way your own colour would act as low lights among the sections that have been highlighted......

Hi Princess. I think you are trying to achive a cool blonde. It's going to be hard to lift your haircolor with a nonpermanent haircolor, because a nonpermanent is only going to deposit. What I would probably suggest is a cool blonde or a beige blonde and do highlight before you decide to do your whole head. I think the highlights will give your hair some flavor.
Good Luck,

hydrogen peroxide is the key ingredient in the bleaching process. that is what the developer is basically made of. so you are to an extent bleaching your hair. but to change your eye color? no. that is set at 6 weeks old. some people have naturally changing eyes mind do different shades of blue but unless they do that now your eyes are what they are. but as for bleaching? there are only myths to lightening your hair. and different methods work for different people depending on the diameter and texture of their hair. so you can try but you may end up doing more damage than you do good, so be cautious with what you try.

No unfortunately you cannot lighten your hair with a non permanent colour but you could always go to a shop such as Debenhams where they sell wigs and try one on in the colour you want

To lighten your hair, it will be permanent.
A good way to start lightening your hair is to have "highlights" these will lighten parts of your hair rather than all of your hair. They can look really pretty and will give you the brighter look that you are looking for! But have your hairdresser do it to make sure it turns out right!

Go to a professional, and have highlights, you could have a few colours put in at once!
You won't be able to lighten your hair using a non permanent colour as it wouldn't have the chemicals required to lighten your hair.

To go lighter you have to bleach, there is no going back. To go darker you either use a dye (which is permanent) or some kind of rinse. I am a guy and even I know that.
