Expect to have some discomfort for 24-48 hours after the root canal.

JAMIE, IF BY PAIN YOU MEAN WHAT YOU FEEL AFTER THE ANESTHETIC WEARS OFF, THEN I CAN TELL YOU THAT THERE MAY BEE A LINGERING DISCOMFORT LASTING FOR A DAY OR TWO. NORMALLY I TELL MY PATIENTS THAT THIS IS NORMAL, AND SHOULD GO AWAY SOON. IT'S IMPORTANT THAT THE TEMPORARY FILLING THAT WAS PLACED OVER THE FINISHED ROOT CANAL NOT BE TOO HIGH, OTHERWISE, EVERY TIME YOU EAT YOU WILL FEEL PAIN.

Depends....ususally a day or 3....If your mouth is opened for a long period of time during the precedure, you may experience TMJ....In any event taking Aleve will get you through it in a snap !!!
