I'm really trying really hard not to kick the computer. My 18 year old sister told me she wants to be a porn star.......wow......how on earth can I TALK SOME REASON INTO HER?!?

she says its just like acting except you get to have "a good time" too.....

I've already tried talking to her and she won't listen!!! She says I'm being stupid and judgemental!!! GARRRR!!!

How much does she really know about porn? Or does it just sound like fun. She is right about the acting but the fun part will soon be over.

Women are exploited big time in the porn industry. Once she starts....if she wants to continue....she will have to do almost anything in front of that camera. Not only intercourse but anal...oral...and at times with as many as three men at a time.

Tell your sister to go to college and get a degree. Porn is only good for as long as she looks good. Then hit the streets kid.
What will she do then? No job...no education....no skill.
And it will be right about the time she should have established herself in some profession that does not rely on her good looks or great body.

Who ever has put this in her head is not her friend. She had better wake up.

oh my gosh. if she is 18, then law is on her hands. dont let her do this, she can get hiv/aids/stds etc ... her life is gonna be a living hell man. tell her its wrong, having sex with one guy that too after marriage is only good habit. these kinda tendencies only hookers have. so, your sister really wanna be a hooker? is she virgin? take her to a mental health physician and make a police complaint and then talk to her parents, alongwith her about this very clearly maybe over a dinner at a restaurant or something ...

plz make sure she doesnt end up being a porn star and ya and ya family seeing the shame, have to lose face on society, lose prestige, then there would be no morality, ethics or etc ...

I'm not sure if she saw a porn and thought that it was cool but you might also want to add (along with contracting STD's, working when you don't feel like it, and being abused) that you don't get to pick who you "act with". You might get paid a lot of money, but the producers are too. If she decides then that she still wants to do it, all you can do is pray for her. I pray she makes the right decision.

She's rebelling. The best way to deal with rebellion is to ignore it. She's probably saying this to anger someone in your family. By giving her the reaction she wants, you are encouraging her. Try to make a "I could care less" type remark next time. I bet she'll never try to anger you with it ever again.

If by chance this isn't rebellion, it's lack of education. Has she seen a porno? has she seen how many girls out there are looking to break into the business like she is? Maybe if you show her the more degrading aspects of pornography she'll change her mind. Again, don't feed her need for attention, inform her.

Dude talk her out of it somehow! because being a porn star doesn't just mean acting! You could get many diseases and stuff like that. Even deadly ones. Trust me they are not good! U can't so don't aggravate yourself over it. I know you want the best for her (I should know, I'm the oldest one in my fam) but she's technically a woman now and can legally make her own decisions. So whether you beat her over the head with it until you're blue in the face, she's going to do what ever she wants to do. Even if she knows the harsh consequences, i.e. higher risk of getting HIV/AIDS. So leave her be. It's her life (even if u think she's ruining it).........
