I hadn't heard that expression before, until I was reading other questions on here. So, why is a tat on a women's lower back called a 'tramp stamp' or whatever? Where did the saying originate?

Well ever since it became a fad for tramps to get this tattoo, people have been calling that.

The number 3 definition is the one I would have given...if you're near a college campus, you will see many a girl with a tramp stamp :)
Tattoos should be personal, these morons get something "cute" on a whim.... stupid people suck.

ive got one on ma back im not a horrible trashy person thank u very much!!!!!!! but i do agree some idiots get tats and get da wrong kind of thing. i think some of u people are horrid just coz some one has some f****ing ink on there skin doesnt make them horrible or a tramp its people like you lot who are the cows for being so bloody nasty

Because of the low lifes who get ot. A tramp stamp is a tattoo anywhere on a wonan's body, not just the asscap.

Because most girls who have them in that area are trashy. Seems like a generalization but the only girls Ive met with tattos there are trash.
