please i'm travling to eastern asia soon and i wanted to no if you could explain how thesse belief systems have influenced east asian culture.

You picked what are quite possibly the three most complicated and confusing religions in the world...

Confucianism is based around family values...

Buddhism is based on ending our suffering through ending our attachment to worldly things...

Daoism/Taoism: Read the Tao Teh Ching, only way you'll ever get it...

Japan also has Shinto, a belief in spirits or Kami. They have fused it with Zen Buddhism to create the Rinzai school...

Daoism and Confucianism have become very rare since the Chinese cultural revolution, where the governmant attempted to erradicate religion and the past...

Buddhism continues to be very influential... Wikipedia has a great article on it. It is my religion, so I should be able to answer any questions you have...

you could see the three, which all co-exist happily in close proximity, as different sides of a box.
So buddhism would rep. the spiritual aim of the culture (for the three of them combine within chinese culture), the Taoism, the metaphysical aspect of the culture and confucianism, the moral code of the culture.
