Don't know where that comes from, but it about sums it up.

Very Profound -
How do we handle that fact that most religious people only really know the religion that they were raised with? Is it really a choice if we have not studied or looked into what other faiths claim?
Also, there are a number of learned men/women around the world who do have a religion of some sort. How would we fit them into this mix?
So I would say that you are very close. The common answer is probably true.
Maybe expand to:
Believed by the common man, desired by all, died for by many, regarded false by the majority of wise men/women, thought useful by leaders, used by power brokers, used against undesireables and miss-understood by most.

true and false, but false only because of the generalization. many common people believe, many wise people dont believe, and many leaders find it useful. at least in my opinion.

There is a possibility that among religions, there is true religion and there are false religion. Simple generalization may bring you to danger yourself of a FALSE conclusion. No one can deny the existence of God who exists to create the Nature, me and you. Than He will make you and me to die. No matter you nor I like that or not.

No, because there are many wise common people, yes the leaders use it to make you dance like a puppy, keep people in fear, it works.

A truly "wise" person would see the truth. But the Bible does say that the world's "wisdom" is foolishness in His eyes, and the wisdom of God seems foolish to the world, so I guess you're right in a sense.
Oh yes, leaders DO manipulate it.

Both comments are true. If you were in a religious group majority running for a political position. What would you do?
In 2 Timothy read the following
Chapter 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
THERE IS HOPE FOR EVERYONE INCLUDING YOU
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

God...ie Jesus: Believed in by the wise man, scoffed by the ignorant, used by politicians to get votes when it serves their agenda.
