like every body else has said its an abscess try rinsing your mouth out with salt water. Just add 1/4 teaspoon into a glass of warm water stir it up and rinse your mouth out. If it causes pain or makes it leak it is working. continue doing that 4 or 5 times a day for a couple of days

A tooth abscess is formed when there is inflammation and/or infection in the bone and/or the tooth's canals. This generally occurs in a tooth that has a deep cavity, a very deep filling or one that has been injured. The pain caused by an abscessed tooth can be persistent, throbbing and severe. Other symptoms include fever, earache and swelling of the glands on one side of the face or neck. It can also cause a general ill feeling, bad breath and a foul taste in the mouth.
A tooth abscess is usually treated with either a root canal or by pulling the tooth. A root canal is done if the dentist thinks the tooth can be saved. The infection is first removed either through a hole drilled through the top of the tooth or through an incision made in the gums at the site of the infection. These measures relieve the pain and pressure caused by a tooth abscess. An antibiotic will also be prescribed.

Tooth abscesses, for the most part, can be prevented with regular dental care. This includes daily brushing (with a fluoride toothpaste) and flossing and regular dental check-ups and cleanings.

Self-Care Tips

To reduce pain, take aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen or naproxen sodium. [Note: Do not give aspirin or any medication containing salicylates to anyone 19 years of age or younger unless directed by a physician, due to its association with Reye's Syndrome, a potentially fatal condition.]
Hold an ice pack on the jaw. This will relieve some of the pain.
Never place a crushed aspirin on the tooth. Aspirin burns the gums and destroys tooth enamel. [Note: Do not give aspirin or any medication containing salicylates to anyone 19 years of age or younger unless directed by a physician due to its association with Reye's Syndrome, a potentially fatal condition.]
Do not drink extremely hot or cold liquids.
Do not chew gum.
Avoid sweets and hot and spicy foods. A liquid diet may be necessary for a day or two until the pain subsides.
Gargle with warm salt water every hour.
See a dentist even if the pain subsides.

You are a beautiful girl and look ok w/your gap, but if you are self conscious about it, people tend to pick up on it and will tell you it's cute to put you at ease. I had my 2 front teeth capped because of a gap and after a few yrs they are separating. I am self conscious about it as well and will get them recapped again as I feel I look better when the gap is filled in. If you do decide to fix them, see what your dentist suggests and go from there. If you get caps/veneers, look at photos from the dentist he has done or ask around to see what dentist does the best work. I had my teeth capped several times and the 1st time was a bad job and didn't do my homework on that dentist. Best of luck to you.

You have an abscessed tooth. See a dentist! You can't afford not to go to a dentist, the infection will spread to your entire jaw bone and could become fatal! Surely you can find a dentist that won't charge much to yank it out. You will need to be on antibiotics before it does get pulled or filled. Check with the Chamber of commerce in your area and possibly Department of Human Services put you in touch with such a dentist. Like some doctors, there are some dentists that will go based on your income.

It's definitely an abscess! Is it giving you any pain? I take really well care of my teeth and the most I've had is a super small cavity. So you need to tell me how painful it is! As for the money part, if you still live with your parents, then you can ask them. If you moved away then, I don't know how to put this with out being mean but: GET A JOB!!!

Sounds like you have an infection. If at all possible, I would find a way to go to the dentist. Brushing your teeth with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide can help with infections, but if the infection is in your root canal, you need to go the dentist.

Sounds like an oral ulcer. These are caused by a variety of different things ...you can read about them at

http://menshealth.about.com/od/conditions/a/mouth_ulcers.htm

It's listed in the mens health section of this site...but it is not just a mens problem.

They usually go away by themselves and the best thing to use on them for a little relief is ora gel. The stuff that numbs your gums for a minute or two and stay away from salt.

These ulcers are kind of like a cold sore...but instead of getting on the outside of your mouth...they are on the gums or the inside of your mouth.

Go to your doctor or dentist (emergency dentist or doctor maybe)

You may have one of 2 things.

An absess ...or....
Mouth cancer.

Both of this is something that need rapid medical attension.

Could be a cold sore... isn't there a free clinic you can go to maybe? Better to have it checked out.
