It used to hurt like heck for days after doing an ab workout. Now it doesn't. Is it because I had a c-section? Are my ab muscles permanently damaged?

When you work out pain or soreness usually comes from muscle fatigue. Your abs are your core so usually exersion of other muscle groups before you do abs will ensure that your abs will actually feel the workout. Try to work abs inbetween sets of other exercises or at the end of your workouts.

No- you are just used to doing the exercises, thats why they don't hurt anymore.

Try using weights as resistance or do differnt kinds of ab workouts, not just crunches. Research the web for differnt types of ab workouts, they have a ton. Try using a stability ball

I don't have pain the day after either. Not a gal so can't comment on the c-section but I think your muscles get used to it after a while.
Don't stop doing them though - I can't imagine your muscles being damaged.

No its not cause the c section. Its probly just cause your body has gotten used to the exercises you do. Change up the exercises or add a little weight or some kind of resistance to what you normally do.

Because you do to many, do less reps and slowly build it up over a few weeks. I had the same problem, but it got so bad I couldn't do them any more, lol
