I see many of you argue that your faith is based on the "eternal" reward that awaits you, but how do you REALLY KNOW what eternity is? It is a big assumption on your part that the word eternity means forever, but these are human words and human concepts. You are going by a human definition.

NOWHERE in the bible does god state WHAT eternity means. For all you know, the word eternity was mistranslated, and what god really meant by the word was "funny."

For example, lets substitute "funny" for "eternal" in some biblical passages...

Psalm 119:89
Your word, O Lord is FUNNY; it stands firm in the heavens.
Psalm 16:11
You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with FUNNY pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 119:160
All your words are true; all your righteous laws are FUNNY.
Deuteronomy 33:27
The FUNNY God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms...

Say it with me... FUNNY!

God is, apparently, eternal.
Earth is, quite obviously, not eternal.

Imagine a timeline of God's existense.
Not place a dot on it where you think Earth should be.

You can't, can you? Because in the definition of eternity, you cannot point out any particular length of time because each point has infinity before it and infinity after it. If a god is 'eternal', that is to say, with no limit on the duration of his existence, then what did he do during the infinite span of time before he went and supposedly created earth?

In eternity, any length of time is exactly the same as any other. Logically, in the Christian universe of an eternal god, there is no way we could exist because there is an infinite length of time before we were created.

First, that is not funny in the least. Second, isn't that the whole point of faith? We don't know for sure. We have FAITH that eternity exists and it means forever. We believe in God and in the life everlasting. We don't KNOW. We BELIEVE and have FAITH.

And if God speaks to people in their own human language, it wouldn't have to be translated at all, so how could it be "mistranslated"?

GOD always was and is.
Things that Run Down and Wear Out so on, are not Eternal.
GOD Created Time.
If Things Never Run Down or Wear Out while Experiencing Time, they are Eternal.
Our Bodys would of Never Died or Experienced Sickness or Disease if Adam had never messed up (Ate from Tree).
Hard to Imagine This, huh?

Stop fighting God. Instead, let the Lord show you His love. We (Christians) know what we believe because He shows us. We have a relationship with God on a daily basis. The Lord is not just some guy sitting in a throne looking down on us. He's a living and loving God that talks to us, gives us spiritual gifts and yes sometimes disciplines us. God is a father.
