The minimum adjusted gross income for a tax return to fall into various percentiles in 2004 are as follows:
Bottom 50% : $30,122
Top 25% : $60,041
Top 10% : $99,112
Top 5% : $137,056
Top 1% : $328,049
These are adjusted gross income numbers. In most cases, the source of the income for individuals with AGI over $200,000 is not wages.

I don't know, but the top 1% of earners in America pay around 34% of the taxes.
So, the rich do pay their fair share, plus 33% more.

Bill Gates, Waltons (Wal-Mart), Buffett are the top currently.
