i keep hearing how some of you say that having psychic abilities is not of god but is evil.
my question is if thats so then why is not evil of the people in biblical times when they had some kind of forsight or psycic ability?
then it was a gift from god. why not now?

i am talking about the real thing. not someone trying to make a buck.

If John had a Revelation then what makes a Psychic any different?
How do we know God or Angels aren't showing them something and we can't see it because we're just to dumb or ignorant or don't have the right genes.

I think being psycic is not evil. As you have said people all through history have had this ability. The evil comes with how you choose to use it.

Sorry, I'm a Christian and I don't believe in psychic abilities.
God was chatty in the old testament then he got pretty quiet ever since we got modern and started to better record communication and document facts. Pretty convenient, no?
Like I said, I am a Christian, but also like the Padre in the movie "Trading Places", who said: "Religion is a good thing, taken in moderation!"

Personnaly, I do not see 'seeing the future' as sinful. Many times the 'kings' in the Bible would ask the seer/prophet about a confrontation with another king.
Is that not a foresee/pyshic ability?

Holy people have psychic abilities....and very few there are. Most people today though are interiorly possessed by the devil....and yes the devil can give psychic abilities if God permits it for the harm of self and others.

Having foresight is not a bad thing if it comes from God, like it did for the prophets. Pyschics get their info from "familiar spirits" which it destestable to God. The Bible makes it clear that consorting with these spirits is evil.

Being prophetic is a gift from God and not to be used for selfish purposes...a gift only to be used to give light and understanding to others...mainly for the glory and by the will of God Almighty.

Prophets were not 'psychic'. God was talking through the prophets. Psychics are spiritualists, which are condemned by God
