Alot of people say that a stylist can "thin" your hair if it's thick. What does that mean?? How does it work? Does it take long?

I think it means just cutting lots of layers... sort of keeping the length but reducing the bulk. They can do this using regular scissors or what they call thinning shears. I prefer regular scissors coz sometimes the thinning shears yank out hairs.

I think it only takes them an extra 5 mins when they cut my hair.

They take a scissors that has "teeth" in it to cut your hair without having it all end up the same length. It can be a nightmare if you get a stylist who doesn't know how to go with your hair & head structure & style. Be careful who you let do this type of a cut.

Its basically taking a layer or two off. They use scissors that kind of look like a comb (they have teeth like a comb, anyway). They will take alayer of your hair and brush by it with the scissors, cutting some of it out..believe me cause i hav thick hair...it works GREAT! It only takes a few minutes.

No it doesn't take long. I am a hairstylist and all it is, is thinning shears. Just like scissors except it has a razor in it. They take it and pull your hair through it. Personally I don't like using them just because they CAN cause split ends very easily if your don't treat your hair properly.

I wouldn't have it done if I were you. It can look very horrible if the stylist does it wrong .It can take years to recover your hair from that. It can also make your hair split and frizz allot and you will have short hairs sticking up all over.Don't do it!

They use special sizzors to thin hair. It should take a little longer than getting a regular hair cut. I'm sure they'll want to make sure you hair is evenly thinned out.

Supposedly, the 'hair flip' is generally an indication that a girl is interested in you...although I wouldn't focus on that alone...it may just be one of her nervous habits. I'd say you have enough of a 'green light' though to get to know her a little more...if YOU like HER too.

It means that they cut or razor very short layers into your hair. If you have a lot of hair and they do a good job it can take a while.

They take a hair razor and pass it through your hair. This is a process that eliminates your hair the more you pass it through. I would no do this unless you have way too much hair.

to get your hair thinned, it means to get (or make ur hair look) really thin. i have thin hair, i love and hate it. i love that it easy hair to care for, but i hate that it isnt thick! thick can look luscious, but thin hair can be to!!
