Human is a developmental term. At some point we evolve to the point where we become human. I think that point should be linked to a fixed point where we make a leap that differentiates us from the past. The first sign a species is becoming sentient is when they have evolved to the point where they can abstract enough to invent a god. The first time a species achieves sentient maturity is when the get rid of their gods. This point seems logical and as some have already made the leap away from superstition, we should call these people Human. People who still cling to delusional god concepts can be classified as Proto-Human to be more accurate.

Human is defined by qualities. Most people are two legged animals. If one does not know who they actually are (not these bodies) That they are spirit and eternal. Then they are animals. An animal eats, sleeps, mates and defends, and so do human beings so if one wants to come off the animal platform then they have to follow the instructions to attain those qualities given in the Vedas. (Veda means knowledge) One must eat food prescribed for humans and that is vegetarian. If one eats flesh they are considered an animal. Animals do not get Karma for eating flesh, Humans do. I believe humanity is wrapped up in ones creativity. Animals don't create beyond instinctual activity. Only humans do so.

I am humane because I care whether others are headed for Heaven or Hell. Whether I admit it or not.
