Okay, this is my friend's problem. She said she would go to formal with this guy, we'll call him Bob. So he really caught her offguard when he asked her and she's too nice, so she said yes, even though she doesn't really like him at all and actually wants to go with this other guy. Any suggestions on what she should do? She would post it herself, but she doesn't have an account.

She must go with him now. It will hurt him if she backs out.
Bet she'll have a good time with a guy who likes her. The guy she wanted to ask her probably could not care less about her.

Sounds an awful lot like a "Leave it to Beaver" episode. Your friend HAS to go with the guy she already said yes to. Simple.

She should be honest with her date. That way he has an opportunity to ask someone else, maybe she could even set him up, and your friend can go with the guy she really likes.

tell bob she cant go with him to the formal, then ask the boy she likes to accompany her. there is no other way round

be honest ,Don't play people,That's not cool, and you ll only feel bad about it later becauls she wont be having a good time and he will notice for sure and she will rune the formal for every one.
