Blessed are the poor in general! They are usually much closer to God than the rich in general. When do most people (even unbelievers) pray to God? When they are on the beach in Miami with a cocktail sitting on a million dollar bank account? No, people pray to God most often when they are in dire straights, desperate for help, or afraid they are about to die.
