I have been married for a year in a relationship with my husband for 3 years I have not yet conceived a child.I know it is not him because he has an 8 yr old son and her is in great physical health. I am in great health also but I just can not conceive.I really know that it is me in more ways then that. Just 5 years ago when I was dating another guy for 4 yrs I still could not conceive and he has a son also that is12 yrs. old now. I am afraid to go to a doctor because he might tell me i can not conceive. That is why I want to adopt or be a foster parent .Am I wrong for not going to the doctor to find out whats wrong and leaving my husband in the dark?

I think you should sit down with your husband and talk to him about your concerns and fears. He is your husband and needs to know. Don't leave him in the dark. This will cause your relationship to just fall apart eventually. Yes, you two may not agree on how to go about the child thing, but that's what marraige is about. You work together!!! Hopefully he loves you enough to take your feelings into consideration. You should also go to the MD. It may be a simple fix!! Good luck!

It's not "wrong" as such. But it could be a simple little thing preventing you from conceiving. You don't mention if you have been taking a contraceptive prior to trying to conceive. It may take a while for your body to get back into the swing of things. Try not to worry so much, sometimes worrying about trying to conceive can have the opposite effect. Good luck. I think you should go to the Doctor to find out once and for all. Don't be afraid.

You should really go to the doctor, it could be something that easy easily fixed. At least then you will know one way or another, and not be in the dark. And NO don't leave your husband out, he has a right to know. Then you can talk about adoption and foster care.

Your not wrong all wrong being afraid is understandable but if there is someone who loves you so much and give up everything for you why not conquer the fear for him? YOu should what if there is something else wrong god forbid and that if you don't go you might never be able to get better. Anything that it is, just gather up your courage a go and see what you can do about it. Now a days they even have those fertilization pills and etc to help people who can't concieve make babies. So go ahead

Well, no one wants to get bad news. But, I'm a bit worried for you. I'm no doctor, was a hospital Corpsman but that was forever and a day ago, but I know that this may be something more than you just can't concieve. There are other problems that create infertility. Please go and just have a check up. It's not that expensive and you will either catch something before it gets too bad or you will be given good news like just try a different position.

You're not "wrong", but I personally *would* go to the doctor just to have an answer; perhaps there are ways to help. I would never consider adoption, this is why it would be important for me to find out about my condition, I guess.

Your husband should get checked out, too.

YES YOU ARE WRONG FOR NOT SEEING A DR, YOU MAY HAVE SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG //// INFERTILITY ISN'T JUST A THING THAT WILL GO AWAY AND THERE IS A REASON FOR IT !!! IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT THAT'S GREAT BUT MAKE SURE YOUR HEALTH IS GOOD NO SENSE IN ADOPTING IF YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF A CHILD BECAUSE YOU ARE SICK!!!! YOU HAVE TO GO FOR THOSE WHO LOVE YOU AND FOR YOURSELF ALSO IN A MARRIAGE YOU ARE TO SHARE THE GOOD AND BAD ....TALK TO HUBBY AND TELL HIM WHAT YOUR FEARS ARE AND I'M SURE WITH HIS LOVE FOR YOU HE WILL STAND BESIDE YOU ,, NEVER GO WITH-OUT SEEING A DR. EARLY DETECTION IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING, THERE COULD BE NOTHING AT ALL WRONG WITH YOU !!!! SOME WOMEN NEED TO MATE WITH MEN THAT HAVE STRONG HEALTHY SWIMMERS ,, /// MAYBE YOU HAVEN'T FOUND THAT YET ///

you should go to the doctors and see if there is a problem. There are many reasons why some people dont concieve and some of them are treatable. And you should definately tell your husband about your concerns. After all it does affect him too.
