Can anyone tell me anything about white tattoos? I'm invisioning something in my head, but I don't know anything at all about tattoos, so I don't know how that would work. Anyone have any info or advice?

Ok I did a lot of research on this very subject, because I too really wanted a white ink tattoo, and this is what I learned:

The more pale you are the more visible the ink will be. Here's the bad part- for most people white ink does not stay. It fades very quickly and may take a couple sessions to get the desired effect. Even then on most people it fades and touch ups need to be done every couple months. Also white ink is usually used as an accent or in shading. Most of the artists I've talked to DO NOT want to do all white tattoos because of these things, they believe that the tattoo will be seen by others as poor quality from all the fading, etc.

As someone who really wanted a white ink tattoo and decided against it because of these reasons I wish you luck in whatever you decide to ink. Have fun and chose wisely- it will be with you a while. :)

Here is a great body modification website. You should be able to find almost any info you want here. There are pictures, articles, and stories from other users.

Go Miami Ink's website and see if they've done a white tattoo. I've got white in my tattoos but not a white tattoo.

White tattoos aren't all white -- a friend of mine just had one done over the summer, and I want to say there's a slight bluish tint to it, so it shows better.

white tattoos look really cool depending on what you get and how dark your skin is- if you're pale it probably won't show up very well. talk to your neighbourhood tattoo artist!

The black outline ink is deeper than the colour ink which holds the colour in side the tattoo. It stops the colours spreading. So I dont think it will.

I think they're normally invisible, in regular light. But they show up in a room lit with a black light. Here's a link to a place that does it, (though there's probably more places then just the one!)

I think wat u r refering to is a "Glow in the dark" tattoo. The ink appears white and is barely visable in day light...but really stands out in the dark in like a club scene with the funky lighting they use.
