The cat is probably just jealous, have your boyfriend, to spend a little time with the cat, afterall, you say you have only had this cat 6 months, and your boyfriend for 3 years, if he was good to you, and you really cared for him, why would you be asking that? I mean, cats are cool and all, but your talking about a human here, not a cat. Unless, this is some jerk, you are trying to get rid of, but if he is good to you, then you know........

You probably won't need to get rid of either--just keep them separated.

You have to make this decision yourself, but here are some things to keep in mind:

Cats should be good pets. My family has three cats, and all are extremely friendly and accepting of every person that comes to visit. That is because they are good natured creatures and we have raised them with plenty of love and attention. If your cat has a behavioral problem, you may want to find it a new home. Keep in mind that this is a problem your cat has, not your boyfriend.

Normally I would suggest getting rid of your cat, but that's only if you are very serious about your boyfriend. If he is one of those temporary things, then you probably shouldn't bother if the cat does fine with other people. You can always try your luck with someone else.

The notion that animals "know" about people is pure idiocy. Don't listen to anyone who tells you something like that, because those kinds of superstitions don't tell you anything about the real problem.

Your boyfriend is probably annoying the cat in some way, baiting him, or playing too rough. Yes, some people have theories about cats sensing things that people can't, but honestly, my (boy) kitten attacks me and it is not that big of a deal. He is much more calm with my girlfriend, probably beacause she treats him like a baby and carries him everywhere around the house.

Your cat is most likely just playing, and if your cat is a boy, he is most likely going to be annoying to any guy you bring around.

If you are babying your cat it will not want anyone to take away the attention it craves.

You know from previous experience with three separate animals three separate men and three wrong decisions....get rid of the man. Unless the cat is male than maybe its a territory thing. Or the feline can be in tune with your emotions when your angry, happy... If your boyfriend is making you generate and unpleasant hormone, that might trigger him to be defensive for you. With you asking a question like this anyway, it sounds like your having doubts about the relationship yourself. I think you know the answer baby. We are not supposed to choose a lower species over are own race but sometimes they are the ones that are the most loyal and loving. Or you can get kitty a crate for when your boyfriend comes to visit. If he live with you...I don't know Hun. Well good luck and I hope you find out what the best decision is.I hope i helped someway. Good Luck!!!

DUMP THE BF! Just imagine how many homeless animals that are out there because people simply don't want them anymore.

Look at it this way....
1. Does your cat argue with you?
2. Does your cat make you do things you don't' want to do?
3. Most of all does your cat talk back to you?

Remember cats are loyal companions. I know I have 3. Tell the bf good bye and move on!

the cat obviously has a problem with ur bf. maybe just maybe he is baiting the cat when u r not looking. what does ur bf say about the cat, does he want u to get rid of it, if so then it is totally up to u to either let them become friends in time or do as he says and get rid of the cat. good luck

my cat did the same thing, it turned out she was right. I dated him for 6 years and every time he came to my house, my cat would attack him. Cats have a sense about people, and they tend to protect their people. Take a good look at the relationship, the cat might be sensing something.

The boyfriend. Cats are way cooler than guys. Actually, I would probly just lock the cat in a room with some food and her litter box when the boyfriend is around. Unless he lives with you, then you would have a problem...
