I agree it depends on the ppl in genenral, not the religion. However most christians I know make their kids go to church whether they want to or not.

In general, I've found Pagan parents more effective as they actually cherish their time with their children. They have children not for selfish reasons, but because they want to give their love--and want that love passed on for generations!

I've seen Christian parents who have children as little more than f*cktrophies. They act like they are still teenagers and pay little attention to the kids, except for making them go to church on Sundays.

A parents quality is decided by the person and not the claim to the person. The title of Christian or pagan does not mean that person is a good person. Just being a member of any religion does not make you a good person. Keep in mind how many people in any religion go wrong, assume nothing on someone by there title or religion. A good parent is a loving parent who knows better, a person of this calibur can be found in each religion, neither religous clasification is better than the other when it come to parenthood and the individual.

I'm not gonna get into a debate about effective parenthood, here, obviously, as a Christian I believe we are commanded to teach our children the ways of the Lord.....I know THAT is effect in the life of a child....but that's not to say pagan parents don't love their children, I just believe that when you know better, you DO better.

both. All moms and dads love their kids no matter what religion they are.

my parents are Christians and they don't make me or my brother go to chruch. last time I went to chruch was on my own free will.

Secularly, the same.
Spiritually, the parents that are true followers of Christ, would be the better ones.

Mat 7:11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

I think anyone who cares for and loves their children can be effective as parents.
