Chistians the ones who have received the comforter, have available to them assurance. That is the conforter will give a person who has the comforter (Holy Spirit) can know they will go to heaven, sometimes it comes automatically upon becoming justified and reconciled (some call this being saved) and sometimes one need pray for it later, depends if you have a block, from your past that needs to be worked out. The Spirit will help you work out the issues if you ask for assurance.

If you are not justified and reconciled then you need to understand the process (what to how God works and what your part in that process is).which you can find out at any church. My suggestion is to find out what to do then do it at home. If you do it and then there is not an immediate change in who you are then it did not take. If a person does get saved there is no question in there mind that it happened. Once intitial contact has been made repeat that process everyday and begin listening for guidance.

The reason I say do it at home is people often the people and place you are had something to do with the experience and they do not. Do it at home and know God and you are an item. The church is just there for fellowship. Since churches today have no accountability you need to be able to search around and find a place and people that meet your need and not feel obligated to perhaps someone who has a hidden agenda

Having to sit at the bedside of many friends, lovers and family members at their hour of birth. I do not fear death, I know it is a nessecarry end. I know when I die, I will face Yama be judged for my actions here on Earth and hopefully ascend to Yomi, Or I will go where I will await reincarnation to mend the wrongs in this life in the next.

Death is not a finality, I like to think of it as a pit stop or performance review for the soul in it's strive to acieve perfection and join our ancestors.

spazzymonki,
OH DEATH, where is thy sting? OH GRAVE were is thy victory?

1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
55"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"
56The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Being scared is NOT the mark of a coward! NO! But a brave man will do what he needs to do in order to do what's right and expected of him. Be brave!

What can you do about it either way? Don't worry. it only gives you wrinkles in your face. Be the very best you that you can be today then let the future take care of the future. There is no positive value added to your life when you are afraid of what you can not control or predict. Chill and deal.

Think of it this way: If there is no afterlife, then you can stop worrying about it. You're gonna die anyway.

And if there is an afterlife, you can stop worrying -- because you're gonna die anyway.

I don't mean to be callous when I say this. It's natural to be afraid of death, especially when we're young. One of the signs of maturity is coming to terms with the fact that you, too, will die and there's nothing you can do about it.

In any case, worrying about death is literally wasting your life -- the only life you'll ever have.

I'm not afraid of death, just the process of death.

You don't have to be afraid of death if you trust and have faith in Jesus Christ.

Read the Gospel of John in the New Testament for the solution.

Remember:

Everyone dies. You are not the first, you are not the last. Its the one thing you have in common with everyone throughout history, millions and billions of people, all have died. There is nothing you can do to stop it, but you don't have to face it alone. Everyone walks the same path.

Think of it this way, we are the lucky ones who get to die, because we have been born. All the millions of possibilities that never get born never have the chance to live or die.

Fear of death is a normal component of your inherent survival mechanism. You need to accept that death is inevitable and do your best to make every moment you have count. If you're working at enjoying life, you won't have time to dwell on it.

honestly this problem is something you have to reconcile within your own mind.

personally I have experiencedthings that very definitively prove to me there is indeed an afterlife, I have no question of this, in fact I'd be more prone to questioning gravity.

I'd suggest reading about various religions and spiritualitys.

one will almost certainly stand out as feeling right to you.
