Myself as the devil can only lead me to sin, I must willingly follow. Therefore it is my fault.

It All depends on your life outlook, if your pesimistic you'll probbly think that the world is out to get you so as a generalisation you could say that the devil caused it. If you are optimistic you would probably think @well i made a mistake oh well i wont do it that way again@ thinking this conveys that it was indeed your free will that caused things to go wrong. I personally blame it on my free will.
BTW this question doesnt take into account wrongs performed by others that affect your life and cause things to go wrong!!

This is a question that I can actually agree with on most of the answers here. "The devil made me do it" makes Satan out to be a scapegoat, but sin is our own responsibility.

I don't think you should give the devil more credit than he deserves. So when I make a mistake it's MY mistake. The devil does exist. His greatest trick is convincing people that he doesn't exist.

The devil is just an excuse for a lack of character and moral fiber.

I admit that I made the decision of my own free will and pray to God for forgiveness. I also ask for strength and understanding so that I be able to do better next time in a similar situation.
As I have faith in the one true God, and in salvation thru His Son, Jesus, I also believe that satan has no hold over me.
Good question, tho. Thanks for asking it.

i am not a religious person - i do not believe in the devil.
if i do something wrong it is my own free will.
anyone who says that the 'devil' made them do it is full of cr*p and excuses and avoiding the real truth, that THEY THEMSELVES did it, it was their decision and they should pay the price.

Once again we have a paradox. Have you ever said something
to someone in an argument, that made things ten times worse, and asked yourself, why did I say that?
There are indeed outside entities that influence us.
But then again, only because we allow oursleves to be weak
enough for them to do so!

Free will. Always free will. If not my fault, then someone else's.
To blame an abstract entity for your mistakes seems terribly immature. Never regret them. Learn from them.
