Doctrine and Covenants 130:22
22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
Compare with Alma 18:26-27; 22:9-10

D&C 131:7-8
7 There is no such thing as immaterial matter. All aspirit is matter, but it is more fine or pure, and can only be discerned by bpurer eyes; 8 We cannot asee it; but when our bodies are purified we shall see that it is all bmatter.

it seems that when the universe dies so dies the LDS god.

What does the word of God say.
NIV
1Ti 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
2Ti 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
1Co 4:6 Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.
Jude 3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.

So are you saying that the universe ends if god commits suicide?

It is unclear to me what you are comparing here...130:22 is talking about how our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have resurrected, perfected bodies, but the Holy Ghost does not.
Alma 18:26-27...that chapter is talking about how King Lamoni thinks Ammon is the "great spirit", but he professes he is just a man and not God.
Then in 131:7-8, that is pointing out that our spirits are eternal matter. That section is talking about the Celestial Kingdom and what our bodies will be like.

What exactly are you talking about?
You are sort of proving a point, whether you know it or not. The point is we are eternal spirits, made of "matter" and that we will be like our heavenly Father in the eternities, having a perfected, eternal body.

Those verses seem pretty self explanatory.

Whatever made you think the universe was going to die? The only possible "death" of the universe is "heat death" but that's just a lack of energy, not matter...and if you believe in God, then you believe that entropy can be overcome by His mighty hand.

Oh, how things like this make me laugh.
Somebody from a religion based on ancient myths told by wandering hebrews is trying to prove a religion based on Joe Smith's magic stones helping him translate golden plates is wrong. Hoo-boy.
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black...

Wouldn't your time be better spent actually learning something *real* rather than arguing about made-up superstitious nonsense? Mine is.
