Sure, let's blame the Christians! We're used to getting the blame. Of course, our Lord Jesus told us this would happen, so when it does, we're really not surprised.

"How blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them! "How blessed are you whenever people insult you, persecute you, and say all sorts of evil things against you falsely because of me! Rejoice and be extremely glad, because your reward in heaven is great! For that's how they persecuted the prophets who came before you." (Matthew 5:10-12)

What tensions are we talking about? The Islamic region is bringing their own tensions in some areas. I don't think Saudi Arabia has much tension, neither does Egypt, Lybia, Syria, UAE.

What, Iran, we're doing nothing there they we aren't also doing with North Korea. You really want everyone in the world to have nukes, then lets start selling them. I'm sure Haiburton would the contract to sell Nuke for America! Much easier and we'd make a hefty profit!

What Iraq. Saddam was a source of tensions for the Middle East. Did he not GO TO WAR with IRan, did he NOT invaid Kuwait!

The big source of tension is Israel. Should they give up? Hey, maybe we should give America back to the Natives we took it from by force.

What does any of this got to do with Christians, especially Protestants! Protestants never did no Crusades, except for the Billy Graham kind!

Are you referring to the Crusades and the Inquisition? Oh yes-they did influence today's feelings. As a Jew, I side with them 100% and do agree. The Jews were in the same situation as the Muslims during this time.

But, George W, Bush and his ''holier than thou'' evangelical Christians are what is causing all the trouble today. His political and religious beliefs are what he is pushing in the Mid-east, and I thick they every right to fight back. I just do not like the way they are doing it.

Have you heard the statement, ''for every terrorist George W. kills, 5 rise to take his place''? What more can he do against the world in his two more years in office? G-d help us.

Earl D----------added note to you. You know very little about the tensions of the Mid-east-------you do not know what countries are having what problems.

The thing is we have to stop blaming everyone else and quit hating everyone else or at the time of death you will remember all the people you hate and just come back again and the war will just continue within or without. According to the Vedic knowledge as long as there is animal slaughter there will be war and famine (Starvation) So if you want to do something about war then stop eating meat which keeps the slaughter houses open. The karma has to come back some how and war is one of the quickest ways besides natural disasters to kill a lot of people. Its just the law of Karma. So if you eat meat blame yourself for war. No, TRUE Christians are not to blame, just as TRUE Muslims are not to blame either. The blame must fall on the Extremists and Prejudistic A$$es of both religions.

Research authentic history and you'll know like those of us who do that islam gave rise to the crusades because of the slaughter of europeans in the middle east, by arabs and mohamed before the middle ages.

It's my understanding that the tention in islam is the same as the tention in Christianity.

Islam split. Sunni and Shiite. Christians split. Catholic and Protestant.

So the answer to your question is no. The Sunni and Shiite people are battling it out. Sadly...

Try reversing that statement to see that its historically backwards.

Ever heard the term "running a muck?"
It refers to when Muslims would enter Christian towns and kill as many as possible.

History shows Islam and Muslims hating Christians with a passion. And actively going out to kill them.

When you refer to the crusades you should realize that almost all of of them were not real Christians, they were thieves and murderers hiding under the banner of Christianity and tried to "redeem" themselves by taking back Jerusalem by the decree of the wicked pope.

Yes, to a certain extent we can, From the crusades on, the Eastern world has dominated and attempted to subjugate others beliefs for its own (Christianity) This has bred deep mistrust and hatred.
